Box-office collection of 'Dangal'

As the year is heading towards its end, it has bought along festive cheers and happiness. Aamir Khan's much awaited film 'Dangal' released just two days prior to Christmas and made a good box office collection as well. After witnessing the screening of the film by most of the B-town celebrities it was now time for the audience to witness it. The film collected Rs. 29.78 crores on its opening day while on the second day the ticket window made a business of Rs. 34.82 crores, which summed upto Rs.64.60 crores.

On Sunday the film pocketed Rs.42.35 crores which totalled upto Rs. 106.95 crores as the whole weekend collection. It also made a good business in the overseas. Film critic Taran Adarsh tweeted about the collection of the film on his Twitter Handle. He tweeted, "#Dangal is UNSTOPPABLE... Does EXTRAORDINARY biz on Day 2... Fri 29.78 cr, Sat 34.82 cr. Total: ₹ 64.60 cr. [incl Tamil and Telugu]."

"#Dangal - OVERSEAS - Till Saturday: $ 6.63 million [₹ 44.98 cr]... Several screens yet to report... Best in UAE-GCC and N America."

While the film is still continuing its victory run it will be interesting to see if it overtakes 'Sultan' which is currently the highest grossing film of the year 2016.
