Box office collections of 'Sultan'

The much awaited movie of the year 'Sultan' released on the occasion of Eid on July 6, 2016. The movie starring Salman Khan and Anushka Sharma in the lead was making news from almost a year. As it is rightly said that Eid always belongs to Salman Khan, the movie gathered a record breaking response on its release day. 

People made advance bookings for the film and the theatres received a housefull response on the opening day. According to trade analyst Taran Adarsh, the film made a box office collection of Rs. 40 crores on the first day and it is estimated that it will do the business of Rs.150 crore till the weekend. Taran Adarsh shared his predictions on twitter. He tweeted, "#Sultan [Wed biz / pre-Eid]: ₹ 40 cr+ definitely... 41... 42... 43... It can touch these figures... Final numbers coming up... FANTABULOUS!" and "The Eid festivities commence from today in India... A HISTORIC 5-day opening weekend is on the cards... #Sultan = HURRICANE at the BO."

Overwhelmed by the response 'Sultan' actress Anushka Sharma shared her happiness on twitter. She tweeted, "What a way to celebrate Eid! Can't be better. Thank you for all the love for #Aarfa 🙏🏻 #EidMubarak #Sultan."

The trade industry is looking forward for some record-breaking box office collections from the film by the weekend.
