While the festival of Diwali came with joy and fun, it also came with entertainment as two big films 'Ae Dil Hai Mushkil' and 'Shivaay' released on October 28, 2016. Amidst all those issues which were faced in the pre release period by 'ADHM', the film bagged the first position as it collected Rs. 13.30 crore on its opening day while 'Shivaay' earned Rs. 10.24 crore on the first day.

Trade expert Taran Adarsh mentioned in a series of tweets about the collection of both the films.

Setting apart all the speculations the films received a rather positive response and appreciations too. Both the films are expected to do better post Diwali celebrations as well.
