(Cover) - EN Showbiz - Brad Pitt saved a woman on set from being crushed by a stampede.
Brad is currently filming his newest movie World War Z in Scotland. While shooting a scene, nearly 700 cast and extras were running. One woman fell to the ground in the rush and Brad was there to lift her to her feet before she got injured.
"Lots of people hurt themselves and Brad came to the rescue of one woman who slipped," a source on set told The Scottish Sun. "I don't think she could believe it when Brad picked her up."
After Brad lifted her up, he kept on running. Although they were unable to exchange words at the time, the woman later expressed her gratitude to the actor for saving her life.
"[Brad] didn't have time to speak to her as it was mid-shoot. But she said afterwards how grateful she was, despite having a badly grazed knee," the source explained.
Unfortunately not many extras were salvaged from cuts and bruises that day. The battle scene shoot was fierce.
"Loads of extras suffered bumps and scrapes during the battle scene," the source revealed. "An extra playing a soldier was even hit by a moving car, ending up on the vehicle's bonnet, but fortunately he escaped unhurt."
World War Z is scheduled to be released in December 2012. (C) Cover Media
