Netflix is focusing on India as a great market for viewers by already announcing 17 original shows that will release over next year. The recent show announced at the content gathering workshop at Singapore was Deepa Mehta directorial 'Leila'. Mehta recently announced the protagonist of her series and that is none other than Bollywood actress Huma Qureshi who will mark her debut in the digital world with this show.
The series will also star South actor Siddharth in a pivotal role. The show is reported to be one of the boldest shows ever in India and the digital space is something new for Huma to lay her hands on as its such a space which requires excessive screen time and staying close to the character in every glimpse.
An elated Huma announced the news dropping a selfie with the director and mummy and captioned it, "As you can see ... On the work front, Huma Qureshi was last seen in Rajinikanth starrer 'Kaala' that also featured Nana Patekar as an antagonist.
