(Cover) - EN Showbiz - Zayn Malik of British boy band One Direction has reportedly purchased a home in North London.

The pop star and his group, compiled of band members Niall Horan, Louis Tomlinson, Harry Styles, Zayn Malik and Liam Payne, have enjoyed worldwide success on their debut album Up All Night.

One Direction is also set to star in a 3D film and are engaging in international concert tours.

Zayn thought it wise to invest his new-found wealth in a 2.2 million home in North London.

"Zayn is trying to be smart with his money by putting it into bricks and mortar," a source told British newspaper The Sun.

"He fell in love with the house. The deciding factor was the huge indoor swimming pool."

Zayn can't wait to break in his new dwelling with a spectacular bash.

"He's already planning some pool parties for when the band are back in town," the source revealed. (C) Cover Media
