'Udaan' won the best film of the year by the jury of the Star Screen Awards. The cast and crew of the film is on cloud nine. It definitely is a well-deserved award and kudos to Screen for recognising a small budget film. A crew member of 'Udaan' said that it just took 3 crores to make the best film of the year. 2010 was the year when many big budgeted films bummed at the box office. From Raavan to Khelein Hum Jee Jaan Sey, high budgeted films with good directors could not succumb to the heat at the box office. 'Udaan' is an inspiration for all such films and directors. Madhur Bhandarkar in an interview highlighted the importance of budgets in the success of a film. A 3 crore film is bound to get profits.
