Abhishek upset with 'Kai Po Che' rumors

5th March 2013

Abhishek Kapoor's latest hit 'Kai Po Che' has struck gold at the box office and is also acclaimed for its cinematic excellence by the critics. But some cynical minds have asserted negative views for the film.

They have claimed that the movie looks like a tool used for spreading Gujarat Chief Minister Narendra Modi's propaganda. Some troublemakers claimed that the filmmaker has shown the 2002 riots in a biased way by just showing the Hindu leaders in bad light.

Taking offence to such baseless comments, Abhishek clearly announced that the film doesn't play on any political grounds. "strange how some people are seeing Kai Po Che as modi propaganda. they are obviously missing the pt and looking for something that its not." he wrote on his microblogging page.

He further added, "Kai Po Che is about the innocence of youth and their coming of age.. not a witch hunt.. accept it for wat it is.. and u might see the light."

Based on writer Chetan Bhagat's bestseller 'The 3 Mistakes of my Life', the film revolves around the story of three friends and how their life gets affected by earthquakes and riots.
