Theatre and film actor Rajesh Vivek passed away in Hyderabad on January 14, 2016. The actor suffered a heart attack at the age of 66.

His friend Vishnu Sharma said, "Rajesh passed away in Hyderabad due to a heart attack. He was shooting there for a south Indian film. It is very shocking news. I knew Rajesh for more than 40 years. It's extremely sad and a huge loss to the industry. He passed away today (Thursday) around 3 o'clock in the afternoon."

He was known for his roles in some of the big Bollywood hits such as 'Swades', 'Lagaan' and 'Jodhaa Akbar'.

Reports suggest his last rites will be performed on Friday in Mumbai.
