Popular actress Ashwini, who was a part of over 100 films, passed away as she was suffering from a lung disease. Ashwini was 43. The last rights were conducted on Monday in Nellore, her hometown.

She has acted in hit movies like 'Choopulu Kalasina Shubhavela', 'Station Master', 'Anadiga Adadi', 'Vivaha Bhojanambu' and more.

Besides Telugu, Ashwini has worked in Kollywood and Mollywood as well. According to reports, the actress's father did not even have funds to take her body to Andhra Pradesh.

Following this, Tamil actor R. Parthiban, who introduced Ashwini to Kollywood, helped their family to carry her body in an ambulance to their hometown.
