(Cover) - EN Showbiz - Adele felt like a giant when she performed at a show in the UK last year.

Adele was just one of the big names to appear at last December's annual gala event the Royal Variety Performance.

The songstress was thrilled to be involved in the show, which was attended by Britain's Prince Charles and his wife Camilla. However, she has recalled feeling a little uncomfortable when she was standing in line waiting to meet the royals as she was standing next to jazz artist Jamie Cullum.

"Who was I next to? Jamie Cullum. I had my heels on too so I was about 6ft. He's about 5ft. 4. He's so funny though," she told BBC Radio One.

Adele boasts an army of famous fans including R&B star Beyonc Knowles, who had reportedly wanted to share the stage with her when she headlined the Glastonbury music festival last month - but Adele was told by doctors to rest her voice following a bout of laryngitis. Other Adele admirers include Hollywood stars Gwyneth Paltrow and Lindsay Lohan.
