Parineeti Chopra was introduced in Bollywood as Priyanka Chopra's cousin. But after six films, the actress seems to have carved a niche for herself.

However, unlike other siblings, Parineeti doesn't consider PeeCee her mentor.

Pari says, "Adi (film-maker Aditya Chopra) is my mentor, not Priyanka. I don't discuss work with her, but I do discuss work with him. He is the one person who has known me from before I entered the industry. He was the one who discovered me."

This was Pari's recent statement while a media interaction session.

She further adds, "Adi knows what I should sign next. I never sign a film without taking his advice. He takes time out to sit with me and discusses the films that are offered to me. He asks me, 'Okay, why do you want to do this film?' He guides me, but he never takes a decision for me."

Apart from Adi, the actress takes advice from Maneesh Sharma. "I talk to Maneesh about everything. He really knows what is good for me as I have not grown up in this city, and I am an outsider to the industry," she concluded.
