Actors Varun Dhawan and Alia Bhatt who are busy promoting their forthcoming film 'Humpty Sharma Ki Dulhania' in various cities, met with an accident while they were in Ahmedabad.

Varun and Alia were on their way from the airport to the hotel, when a car belonging to Assistant Commissioner of Police (G Division, Ahmedabad), rammed into their sedan. Fortunately, no one was injured.

Sources reveal that Alia and Varun were seated at the back when around 11 am the car stopped at a traffic signal. The driver of the ACP's car lost control and rammed into their vehicle.

The impact shattered the rear windscreen completely and a few pieces even landed on the backseat.

The actors quickly jumped out of the car, shaken but unhurt. The two were almost mobbed by the starstruck pedestrians before they were whisked away in another car.

"I was in the yellow Audi whose rear glass was completely shattered. It was very scary," Varun told a leading daily.
