It is often heard that co-stars turn lovers while working together but it is not unusual to hear about rife between the lead stars of the film. The on-screen couple that we are talking about is Junior NTR and Ileana D Cruz, who together as lovers in 'Shakti'.

A leading daily has revealed that Junior NTR and Ileana D'Cruz were at the logger heads while the film was been shot but yet were able to over come their animosity for the sake of the film. The fight is termed as an ego-clash and nothing more. They have had fights on several occasions.

'Shakti', which released on April 1st, failed to garner profits as it didn't meet up to expectations. Everyone noticed the lack of chemistry between the two on-screen. May be it was the off-screen animosity that led to poor performance as a romantic couple. Ileana blamed the director for poorly portraying her character on screen which led to the failure of the film, thus justifying her decision to stay away from the promotion of the film. She was even reportedly unhappy with the final output of the film.

The war between Junior NTR and Ileana started in 2006 during 'Rakhi's' shoot. The actress did not agree to work with him until they made her an offer that she couldn't refuse. Producer C Ashwini Dutt convinced her to act in 'Shakti'.

Ileana's open criticism has led to her to lose out on a lot, as the Junior NTR and Nandamuri camp have now decided to shun her from every future projects and are even advising the same to their industry friends.
