When it come's to Tamil cinema, Amaidhi Padai is definitely one of the most memorable movies in the career of Sathyaraj. This political satire set a new trend when it hit the screens in the 1990s.

Now, a sequel is being planned for this film. Actor-filmmaker Mani Vannan, who has directed 49 films so far, is planning to make Amaidhi Padai-2 as his 50th movie venture.

It is expected that Sathyaraj would play the lead role in the sequel as well. "Other details are being worked out and intense discussions are on," say sources.

Amaidhi Padai is a 1994 Tamil film. The story revolves around how a poor man builds his political career through short routes. In the first film, Sathyaraj did a dual role as father and son.
