Bollywood Megastar, Amitabh Bachchan is honored with Padma Vibhushan by President Pranab Mukherjee in New Delhi today.

Noted Assamese film director, Jahnu Barua is awarded the Padma Bhushan alongwith the actor. Bachchan's son, Abhishek Bachchan, his daughter Shweta and daughter-in-law Aishwarya Rai Bachchan attended the felicitation ceremony. Actor Dilip Kumar was also announced for Padma Vibhushan but he was unable to collect the award due to illness.

Earlier, Amitabh Bachchan received the Padma Shri in 1984 and the Padma Bhushan in 2001.
