Bollywood superstars every year attend and perform at an annual show which is dedicated to the police department. However Amitabh Bachchan is going a step ahead in exemplifying his respect for the uniformed armed men and the sacrifices made by them.
He has lent his voice for an album ‘Sounds of Peace’ and has some extravagant plans for the dedication. He along with the team of ‘Sounds of Peace’ has planned a charity concert to raise funds to help the families of police officials who were killed while serving the country.
He revealed about this on Twitter as he wrote, "There will be a concert in a couple of months and all those that contributed to the album 'Sounds of Peace' shall perform for the charity". He further revealed "The charity shall be for all those police families that lost loved ones, who have no means of existence - ignored and forgotten. Men from the forces, who sacrificed their lives so we could live peacefully. Tremendous courage and duty towards their vocation," wrote Amitabh.
The album ‘Sounds of Peace’ was launched by Aadesh Srivastava when the country mourned over the third anniversary of 26/11 recently. Aadesh is in talks with stars like Ustad Rashid Khan and Wyclef Jean to lend their voice for this album.
International singing sensation Akon has already recorded a song with Aadesh for the album when he was in Mumbai for Ra.One.
