Amitabh Bachchan is the face of many campaigns led by our Government for the well-being of the people. Currently he is seen promoting Narendra Modi's 'Swachh Bharat Abhiyan' for sanitation and healthcare. Now the Chief Minister of Madhya Pradesh Shivraj Singh Chouhan has roped megastar as the face of Narmada River cleanliness campaign.

Amitabh announced the news on his Twitter handle by tweeting, "T 2520 -#NamamiDeviNarmade #NarmadaSewaYatra legendary campaign initiated by MP's CM @ChouhanShivraj to make river Narmada pollution free."

"T 2520 -#NarmadaSewaYatra surely help spreading awareness among people across India to wake up & start conserving their life-giving rivers."

The yatra will cover a distance of 3344 Km in 144 days and will come to an end on May 11.
