(Cover) - EN Showbiz - Amy Adams was thrilled to star alongside Christian Bale in her new movie, as shed always dreamed of working with him.

The two stars are currently promoting The Fighter, which is based on the story of boxer Irish Micky Ward. Mark Wahlberg plays the title character while Christian is his half-brother and trainer Dicky Eklund.

Amy portrays Mickys partner Charlene Fleming, and was amazed when she heard about the movies all-star cast. The actress had briefly worked with Christian before, when she helped him go through his script when he was trying out for the role of superhero Batman. The star has portrayed the crime-fighter in 2005 film Batman Begins and 2008s The Dark Knight.

I first met with Christian when they tested Batmans, Amy revealed. I was like the reader. He is a wonderful actor and who wouldn't want to work with the real Batman! I'm glad to finally get the opportunity to go and work with great people like Christian."

The Fighter was released in America earlier this month, and has won critical acclaim. It has been nominated for six Golden Globe Awards, including the prestigious Best Motion Picture prize, and has generated an Oscar buzz. (C) Cover Media
