(Cover) - EN Showbiz - Amy Smart has described her complete surprise engagement to American TV personality Carter Oosterhouse.

The US actress, who has starred alongside Hollywood heartthrob Ryan Reynolds in romantic comedy Just Friends, revealed that her partner proposed to her last Sunday.

The 35-year-old admits the proposal came as a shock, although she is over the moon.

Im so happy. It was so beautiful, romantic and I was completely surprised. Im just really happy and enjoying this time, she told OK! magazine.

Amy also explained why she is sure that Carter, who she met at a green-charity event last November, is her perfect partner.

As well as both being keen ecological activists, the pair share many interests and Amy is thrilled to have found such a caring partner.

I think hes an incredible man on so many levels, she gushed.
