(Cover) - EN Showbiz - Andie MacDowell says the "last thing" she could ever be is envious of her children.

The actress-and-model has three children with her former husband Paul Qualley - Justin, 25, Rainey, 22 and Sarah Margaret who is 17.

Sarah Margaret has emulated her mother's career by landing a modelling contract with IMG models. Rainey has moved into acting with her first role in movie Mighty Fine alongside her mom.

Andie revealed that she only feels happiness for her children's successes.

"The last thing I would be is envious of my children," She told the British edition of Hello! magazine. "My hopes are that they are happy and well adjusted and that they find things that bring them joy and that they can reach their goals. I would enjoy their success more than I would ever enjoy my own. I love them more than I love myself!"

However, the Four Weddings and a Funeral star does have a few words of caution for her kids. Although it may look like a lot of fun, she warns that being in the limelight can be difficult.

"I give them a lot of advice," she laughed. "There is a lot of work involved and it's a job not a lifestyle. You need to be polite and kind to people and if you're putting yourself in the public eye you have to accept certain things along with the job and do it gracefully." (C) Cover Media
