Angelina Jolie wants to give the "spotlight" to other actresses.
The Hollywood star's latest offering is In the Land of Blood and Honey a Bosnian War romance that tells the story of a woman in a prison camp and her military captor.
Angelina's directorial debut stars emerging actors Zana Marjanovic and Goran Kostic.
The beauty can see herself giving up acting at some point to go behind the camera indefinitely.
"I still love acting if I can find those roles that matter," she told e! Online.
"But if I don't, it's nice to be able to shine the spotlight on another actress your think is extremely talented and give her the spotlight."
Angelina is still accepting acting jobs for now though. The brunette beauty is starring as Sleeping Beauty's evil nemesis in the upcoming movie Maleficent.
Angelina says her six-strong brood will enjoy seeing her in a fantasy film.
"It's neat for my kids," she revealed.
Angelina is looking forward to playing the wicked character. The star has joked about how evil she will make the part.
"She's got horns and all," she smiled.
