(Cover) - EN Showbiz - Marc Anthony reportedly tried to "control" the clothes that Jennifer Lopez wore, deeming her choices too risqu.

The former Hollywood couple announced their separation last week after seven years of marriage. They are said to have had a tempestuous relationship, with rumours that Marc kept a close eye on the attire he deemed was "too sexy" for his wife to wear.

Us Weekly are reporting that Jennifer, who has long been known for her revealing choice of outfits, battled her husband who wanted her to wear more toned down attire.

"He would make her feel terrible herself if she wanted to wear something sexy," a source told the publication. "He likes her to dress in a demure, wife' style. He hated the fact that she was a sex symbol."

The 42-year-old also apparently objected to a past photograph that he found "too sexy and unbecoming for a 40-year-old mother of two," another source stated.

"Marc has always been a very dominating husband. He wants to control everything Jennifer does."

The couple are parents to three-year-old twins Max and Emme who they will continue to co-parent.

Jennifer is set to perform at a Ukrainian wedding later today where she will reportedly earn $1 million for the event. (C) Cover Media
