Just a few days ago, Ayushmann Khurrana was confirmed as the principal protagonist in Anubhav Sinha's hard-hitting investigative drama 'Article 15' with his explosive first look as a police officer creating quite a ripple online.
We have got to learn that the director visited the burial ground of Begum Akhtar and Asrar ul Haq Majaz on their day off today along with the entire unit.
One of the most famous progressive poets known for romantic & revolutionary poetry, Majaz and India's finest Ghazal singers, Begum Akhtar who is also known as Akhtari Bai Faizabadi incidentally happen to be both Sinha's and Khurranna's favourite creative icons and childhood inspirations.
Anubhav states, "I fell in love with Begum Akhtar when I was 13. I felt this strong desire to understand the poetry that she was singing. That started my never-ending journey in to the world of Urdu. 5 years later I had the good fortune of studying at wonderful AMU. Majaz Sahab was an Alumni and had written the University anthem. Today I get this opportunity to pay respect to this great poet. A revolutionary poet and a feminist poet. Tire maathe pe ye aanchal bahut hi khoob hai lekin. Tu is aanchal se ik parcham bana leti to achcha tha."
A stellar support cast comprising of Isha Talwar, Manoj Pahwa, Sayani Gupta, Kumud Mishra, Ronjini Chakraborty, Ashish Verma, Sushil Pandey, Subrajyoti Bharat, Zeeshan Ayub and Aakash Dhabade will establish Article 15's repertoire as of the most explosive drama films of 2019.
