Anushka Sharma, the 'Band Baaja Baaraat' girl who won biggies at the recently concluded 12th IIFA awards, had a sad end to the tour when she was detained at Mumbai by customs officials after her return from Toronto. The actress was interrogated on her undeclared possessions that included gold and diamond-studded jewelry and two watches, collectively worth Rs. 35 lakhs, approximately. However, her managers denied that she was detained on legal grounds and that it was just a routine interrogation. They claimed that the valuables were taken from Mumbai and nothing was bought from abroad.

It is now rumored that the detention has sounded an alarm for the Income Tax department, who now plans to grill Anushka on her income and wealth.
