Just recently when it was confirmed that Ranbir Kapoor has been finalized to lead Anurag Kashyap's ambitious film 'Bombay Velvet', it was reported alongside that apart from the male lead, the film's leading lady casting too had been done. It was heard that 'Band Baaja Baaraat' girl Anushka Sharma had been signed to play the female lead in the film opposite Ranbir Kapoor. 

Nonetheless, film's director Anurag Kashyap recently rubbished these rumors and revealed that apart from Ranbir no one has been signed yet. "This is rubbish. I've only signed Ranbir. I'm in process of roping in a female lead but haven't done anything as yet", said Anurag in his statement recently. 

The film that is the screen adaptation of famous literary work 'Mumbai Fables' is set in the retro era and Anurag is extremely excited to commence the shooting that will begin in October this year. Apart from clearing the air over the cast, Anurag revealed to the world that the film will involve a lot of technical work, "There will be lots of computer graphics involved."
