Arjun is one of the few Kollywood actors who can play any kind of role with equal ease and elan! Though he is widely credited as an 'Action King', he has earlier performed emotional roles in a convincing manner as well.

Arjun will now be playing the lead role in a film titled 'Peralai'. The film will be directed by debutant GK.

GK is a former associate of popular director K. S. Adhiyaman.

"Director GK has come out with an action oriented story with a message and Arjun is very impressed with it," say sources.

Apart from Arjun, the film will have Bala and Nandana of 'Krishnaveni Panjaalai' fame in key roles. 

D. Imman will compose the music. 

"Peralai will hit the floors soon," concluded sources.
