(Cover) - EN Showbiz - Ashley Greene has described dating as a "hard, hard thing".

The Twilight actress revealed some of the problems she faces when it comes to romance. The 25-year-old claims some men have used her just to get publicity for themselves.

"Dating is a hard, hard thing when you have this job. Sometimes I wish I could just go back to Florida and, like, date my home-town boyfriend," Ashley revealed to the December issue of British magazine GQ.

"When I'm dating a guy and he says, 'I don't want press', and then says, 'Let's go to Katana for dinner' I'm like, 'Really? You don't want to just walk down the street to some dive? You don't want to get photographed but you want to go to a place where you know there's paparazzi?'"

Ashley says dating becomes even tougher when she is linked to whoever she is photographed with. The star of the latest Twilight movie, Breaking Dawn - Part 2 which is released worldwide from next month, gets annoyed as it is usually her brother or male friends she is pictured with.

"It's really frustrating whenever I can't go and do something because I know it's going to be on the internet. Like if I go to a friend's house, they'll be, 'She's dating him!' It's like, 'Oh, am I dating my brother now? Is that what's happening?' Ashley added. "Or when they write that I was with a 'mystery man', and I'm like, 'He's gay, by the way, so it is a mystery!'"

The actress has shown she is ready to leave the teen vampire franchise behind her. For Ashley's coming-of-age cover shoot she shows off her womanly figure in a black bikini top on the front page of the men's monthly magazine. She also laid down her rules for dating in Hollywood, explaining drinking and tweeting is "the worst thing you can do". (C) Cover Media
