Director Balu Mahendra, who set a new trend in Kollywood in the 1980s, is set to make another movie, it is being said. His last film as a director was way back in 2005 when he made "Adhu Oru Kana Kaalam" with Dhanush and Priya Mani. 

If sources are to be believed, the director has readied the script and in typical Balu Mahendra style it is expected to be a strong one and has some wonderfully etched characters.

Sasikumar, a huge fan of Balu Mahendra, is touted to be ready to produce the venture.  It is said that the cast and the crew will be finalised soon and an official announcement out soon. 

'Besides producing the movie, Sasikumar will also be playing the lead role. A great from Balu Mahendra from his childhood, the actor-director-producer is excited about joining hands with his favourite director,' sources say.
