(Cover) - EN Showbiz - Ben Affleck says family life made him understand what it's like to be a serf that just does things".

The successful Hollywood actor/director is married to actress Jennifer Garner, and the couple have two daughters; four-year-old Violet and 20-month-old Seraphina.

The 38-year-old star joked that living in a house full of women means he sometimes feels like a slave, although he wouldnt change it for anything.

"I just know what it's like to be a serf that just does things," he laughed in an interview which will be aired on The Ellen DeGeneres Show today.

"When one of the vassals comes and points at something ... I take orders from people that cannot speak. And yet still they are higher up on the food chain than I am."

Ben went on to reiterate that as the only man in the house, he usually gets things wrong, teasing that ladies always know better than men.

"I have three women in the house. I get to be wrong three times a day," laughed the star.

Ben was full of praise for his wife and children though, even if they are always correcting him.

"I am madly in love. I have the best family," he gushed.

Bens career has also been going from strength to strength recently, with The Town, a gritty drama he directed, receiving high praise from critics. For his success in both his personal life and his movie career, Ben says he feels incredibly lucky.

"I could not be luckier. I really have come right to the place where I was supposed to be. You've got to knock wood. I've gone around and I've taken some rights and lefts and found myself at a place that is really wonderful, and that I'm really grateful for," he beamed. (C) Cover Media
