September 4, 2010 (Sampurn Wire): In recent interview, Ben Affleck confessed that he is extremely ashamed of his directorial debut and dubbed it as "Atrocious". Affleck said that his first directorial stint was way before he struck gold at the Oscars with the critically acclaimed movie 'Good Will Hunting'. Affleck bagged the best Screenplay award for his contribution.
The actor/director got his first shot in 'I killed my lesbian wife', 'hung her on a meat Hook', and 'Now I Have a Three-Picture Deal With Disney' in 1993. The actor said that looking back; he considers it one of the worst movies of his life. Affleck claims that his first 13- minute movie as a director was something that he is not proud of. Affleck also said that his first film looks like it was made by someone who has no prospects and shows no promise at all.
The renowned actor has since made his feature film directorial debut with the movie 'Gone Baby Gone', which won accolades for skilful direction. Right now Affleck is gearing up for his next venture 'The Town' where he will don the director's cap once more.
So let us hope that Ben has learnt his lesson and won't repeat the same mistakes with his future projects.
