(Cover) - EN Showbiz - Beyonc Knowles has thanked her mother Tina for "all the sacrifices" she made.

A new parent herself, the singer published a handwritten note on her website in which she detailed how her mom has helped her to grow as a person.

The superstar explained that giving birth to her own daughter Blue Ivy earlier this year has made her realise what a great role model Tina is.

"Everything I am is because of you," Beyonc wrote in the letter. "You are the first voice that ever sang to me. At every turn you push me to be better. You teach me to be true to myself and the ones I love."

Titled Dear Mama', Beyonc's note described how grateful she is for everything her mother did for her family. The Love on Top singer finished the open Mother's Day letter by telling her mom how much she loves her.

"When I look into your eyes, I am sooo proud," the note continued. "Now that I'm a mother, I truly realise all the sacrifices you made for us. My love for you goes beyond what I can say. Happy Happy Mamas Day. Love, Beyonc."

The 30-year-old was joining a host of celebrities all over the world by declaring their love for their mom on Mother's Day.

Gwen Stefani, Mariah Carey and Katy Perry all took to social networking site Twitter to say a special thank you to the most important woman in their lives. (C) Cover Media
