Bindu Madhavi met with a road accident when she was heading to the Tiruchi airport to catch a flight. She was in Tiruchi shooting for one of her upcoming films, 'Thozhan', which is a remake of the film, 'Sattam Oru Iruttarai'.

According to sources, the actress sustained minor injuries when the car in which she was travelling collided with another four-wheeler.

The 'Kazhugu' fame actress, was immediately rushed to a hospital. She was given first-aid after which doctors conducted a few medical tests. 

"The doctors have asked Bindu to be on rest for a week", sources added.

At present, the actress from Andhra Pradesh is also acting in tamil films, 'Kedi Billa Killadi Ranga' and 'Iruvar Ullam', both set to release in 2013.
