The pair both appear in American drama series Gossip Girl, and had been dating for around three years. The pair called time on their romance last month, although they have vowed to remain close.

Theyre professionals, a source told Us Weekly magazine. They're still good friends and hang out on the set.

Blake and Penns representative has confirmed they are no longer romantically involved, although no reason for the split has been given.

The pair decided to keep their relationship status a secret while they came to terms with being single again. They wanted to keep this news to themselves for a while, the source explained.

They were reportedly so secretive even their co-stars who include Taylor Momsen, Leighton Meester, Chace Crawford and Ed Westwick had no idea the romance had ended.
