Blake Lively shows off $2m wedding rings

18th September 2012

Blake Lively's wedding and engagement bands are rumoured to have cost $2million.

The actress and her husband Ryan Reynolds tied the knot in a secret ceremony in South Carolina earlier this month.

It wasn't even known that the pair were engaged, with Blake keeping her band under wraps. Earlier this week, an image emerged of her kissing Ryan in which her Lorraine Schwartz rings were on display.

While her wedding band features a thin line of diamonds, Blake's engagement ring boasts an impressively large stone.

"The ring is an oval cut diamond, roughly 12 carat total weight' (which describes the total weight in carats of all the diamonds in a piece of jewellery) depending on the way it was cut," Forevermark Diamonds Adelaide Polk-Bauman told Celebuzz.

"Depending on clarity and colour, I would say at the minimum this retails for $1.2 million, but closer to $2 million. It looks particularly brilliant."

The engagement ring features a light pink diamond set on a rose gold band, with smaller gems either side.

Blake was pictured on the set of Gossip Girl in New York City yesterday, but wasn't sporting her new jewellery.

The happy couple tied the knot at Boone Hall Plantation, where romantic movie The Notebook was shot.

They haven't spoken about the nuptials, but various details have leaked out. It has been reported Blake walked down an aisle strewn with pine needles as Frankie Valli hit Can't Take My Eyes Off of You played.

She wore a gown by Marchesa, featuring a silk bodice and crystals and embroidery.

"The bride and groom looked ravishing," a source told Us Weekly.
