(Cover) - EN Fashion - Bobbi Brown says women should ask their younger brothers for make-up advice.

The 53-year-old American make-up artists eponymous cosmetics are sold throughout the world, and she is considered one of the industrys most talented stars.

The beauty guru has revealed some of her top cosmetics tips, encouraging ladies to seek the opinion of their male siblings as they always speak candidly and arent afraid to say something looks bad.

If you're not sure, then ask your younger brother or someone in your family, and they will definitely tell you the truth, Bobbi suggested, when asked how women can best pull-off bright lips by New York Magazine.

Bobbi admits that although she loves bright lipstick, she accepts it doesnt work for everybody. The beauty icon argues women should always trust their initial reaction to a lip colour, and not wear an unflattering shade simply because its in style.

The only way to know if a colour is right for you is if you put it on and it's you. If you put it on and you feel funny, then don't wear it. One out of ten girls will look amazing with that [bright lip], but it's very hard to pull off.

When you put a lipstick on and you say, Oh my God, I love it, or Oh my God, that's awful, you should trust that first impression, she explained. (C) Cover Media
