(Cover) - EN Star Style - Kate Middleton will wear a wedding gown by Bruce Oldfield, according to speculation.
Britains Prince William announced he had proposed to Kate last month, and the pair will tie the knot in Westminster Abbey on April 29 2011. Since they confirmed their marriage plans there has been intense speculation about who Kate will choose to design her dress for the big day.
Irish bookmaker Paddy Power has now suspended betting on Bruce creating the iconic frock, with the odds on him standing at 1 - 3. The chain explained it had received a flurry of bets, which made them suspicious.
We saw this pattern of royal wagers with the venue and the date and they both proved correct, spokesman for Paddy Power Darren Haines told WWD. Although we didnt expect a betting plunge on the dress designer to happen quite so soon, when the stakes changed from fivers and tenners to hundreds of pounds, it appears as though the cat is out of the bag.
The designers spokesperson hasnt commented on the reports, while Clarence House is insisting Kate is yet to make her choice.
Bruce has created frocks for stars including Sienna Miller, and for Prince Charles wife Camilla, the Duchess of Cornwall. His dresses are priced upwards from 3,500, and he has already hinted he would love to create a gown for Kate.
If I was lucky enough to be asked, Id be delighted. Im already dressing her peers, he said, when the engagement was confirmed. (C) Cover Media
