Brad Pitt says his recent fall was down to the perils of getting "old."
The 48-year-old actor was walking with the aid of a cane as he attended the New York Film Critics Circle Awards with partner Angelina Jolie in New York last night.
Brad had revealed that he had injured the ACL ligament in his knee after he slipped and fell while carrying his three-year-old daughter Vivienne on a ski slope.
But he says that it's not a serious issue and it was more down to his age that the incident happened.
"It wasn't life or death," the Hollywood star said. "It was just an old man tripping. It's not too bad."
Brad stated that he did not expect to have a long recovery period and he only had to use the cane a small amount.
The heartthrob took home the best actor award for his work in Moneyball and Tree of Life and received praise from Angelina.
"I know how hard he works," the mother-of-six gushed. "And I'm very proud of him."
