(Cover) - EN Showbiz - Carey Mulligan is believed to be staying in a motel since her alleged split from Shia LaBeouf.

The beautiful British actress and Hollywood hunk began dating after they met on the set of Wall Street: Money Never Sleeps last year. They preferred to keep a low-profile and were usually reluctant to discuss their relationship in public. Earlier this week it was claimed Shia and Carey have barely seen each other since the release of the movie, and are thought to have put their romance on hold.

Now it has been reported the talented film star has shunned luxurious hotels to keep a room at an unglamorous motel in Hollywood for a couple of weeks now while she plans her next move.

She looks great and sometimes comes with a guy friend and it's not Shia, an employee told website RadarOnline.com.

"It's weird seeing her here...I'm like in awe.

Previously this week British newspaper The Daily Telegraph reported Carey had told a friend she plans to return to her native country, adding that there was a long story as to why.

Meanwhile, Shia is busy filming the latest Transformers movie with his new co-star Rosie Huntington-Whiteley.

Carey and Shias representatives have declined to comment on the break-up rumours. (C) Cover Media
