(Cover) - EN Showbiz - Charlie Sheen has reportedly paid for ex-wife Brooke Mueller to receive the same rehab treatment he did.

The pair married in 2008, and they have two-year-old twins Bob and Max together, although their divorce was finalised in May this year.

Brooke has battled substance abuse problems for a long time, and received rehab treatment earlier this year. She was recently pictured carrying alleged drugs paraphernalia, and reports followed that the 33-year-old had checked into a residential rehab.

It had previously been suggested Brooke would be entering a controversial treatment facility in Mexico where patients are given a drug called Ibogaine in an effort to help their addictions. According to TMZ, Brooke's decision to switch treatment plans was down to Charlie.

"Sources close toSheen tell TMZ he didn't like the idea of Brooke going down to Mexico for rehab, saying he felt the treatment there was dangerous and he felt she might die," reports the publication.

"We're told he's now set Brooke up at an undisclosed location and paying for the whole thing."

Apparently the troubled actor, 45, flew to Mexico in a private jet to collect his ex-wife after she had been there just 12 hours. He then took her back to the US, with sources claiming he wanted Brooke to see his own team of doctors.

Earlier this year the actor completed a substance rehabilitation programme at his home after being rushed to hospital with abdominal pains, following an alleged two days of partying with porn stars. (C) Cover Media
