The makers of Soumik Sen directorial 'Cheat India' starring Emraan Hashmi in the lead is out with its official teaser and we are left intrigued to one of the scariest scams ever in the context of the youth of the nation when it comes to the education system is highlighted.
The teaser begins with Emraan walking inside an engineering college speaking out his name Rakesh Singh saying 'Upar wala dua qubool karta hai, main sirf cash leta hoon'. We are taken to paid dummy exam world which is shocking yet true. The education system that has burdened by donations of the rich, reservations and corruption has many deserving students wasting their shot of studying. Looks like Emraan is playing a grey character and would be seen exposing the wrong-doing in the education system. The film is reported to be based on the Vyapam scams although nothing clearly has been mentioned by the makers.
Directed by Soumik Sen, the film landed in a controversy earlier as filmmaker-actor duo Dinesh Gautam and Imran Zahid claimed the storyline of the film was copied from their movie titled Marksheet.
Bankrolled by Bhushan Kumar's T-Series, Tanuj Garg and Atul Kasbekar's Ellipsis Entertainment, and Emraan Hashmi Films, 'Cheat India' is scheduled to release on 25 January, 2019.
