(Cover) - EN Showbiz - Cher doesnt have a traditional relationship with her boyfriend, he has said.

The veteran singer, 65, has reportedly been dating comedian-and-writer Ron Zimmerman since September, after meeting him through social networking site Facebook.

It was even rumoured the pairs union was so advanced they were planning a marriage, with American DJ Howard Stern reporting Cher and the 52-year-old would tie the knot.

However, Ron says they have a far more relaxed attitude and try not to get too heavy romantically, or conformist.

"We're best friends and we love each other," he told E! Online. "We don't conform to any traditional relationship stuff."

Cher, who is currently working on a new album, has a history of dating men who are younger than her. Before the star began going out with Ron, she had a relationship with 38-year-old biker Tim Medvetz.
