Chris Brown wants to wow' Grammys

9th February 2012

(Cover) - EN Showbiz - Chris Brown is planning to "wow" his audience with an over-the-top performance at the Grammy Awards.

The singer is preparing the performance of a lifetime for the music industry event because he hopes it will mark the beginning of a new era for him.

The R&B star has stayed away from the awards ceremony since he was charged with felony battery for attacking then-girlfriend Rihanna the night before the 2009 Grammys.

According to sources, the singer has been working hard to create the perfect show to dazzle with.

"Chris has been rehearsing non-stop for the performance," a source told Radar Online. "He wants to give the audience and his fans an over-the-top performance. Chris has put a lot of pressure on himself to deliver a memorable performance, and he will deliver, he always does."

Chris has been tweeting his excitement about the upcoming event.

The 22-year-old has been posting motivational messages on his Twitter page.

"Can I wow you?" he wrote today. "Understanding possibilities are endless once u put forth the effort with confidence! BE FREE.... Chris Brown [sic]"

The singer is said to be hoping that his return to the Grammys will begin a new phase in his career.

Insiders claim the star has learned from his mistakes and has matured as a person.

Following his attack on Rihanna in 2009, he was widely criticised by the music industry.

However, his career slowly recovered and he is nominated for three awards at this year's Grammys.

"Chris is hopeful that his performance will close that chapter on his life. He will be bringing his mom to the awards ceremony, she is his biggest fan, and he has told her he is dedicating his performance to her," the source added. "Chris has grown tremendously as a person, and an artist from that time in his life. He has been a model probationer, but more importantly, Chris accepted responsibility for what he did. Chris took that experience and vowed to learn from it and become a better person, and he was thrilled and truly humbled that he was nominated for three Grammys." (C) Cover Media
