Chris Brown will reportedly not face criminal charges stemming from last week's New York City nightclub brawl involving his rival Drake.
A number of eyewitnesses have told police that the Canadian rapper started the fight that left many partygoers bloodied and bruised, according to RadarOnline.
The site claims that Chris has been exonerated in the melee that was supposedly over his ex-girlfriend Rihanna.
"It looks very likely that neither Chris, nor [his girlfriend] Karreuche [Tran] will be charged with any criminal wrongdoing stemming from the nightclub brawl," a source said.
"Chris has been extremely cooperative and forthcoming with information to the investigating officers, which they are thankful for. Once the bottles started flying Chris did the right thing and just got the hell of there."
But the site claims that Drake and his entourage are not completely off the hook yet.
"Drake and his crew have no plans to talk to cops, and they are under no obligation to do so," the source added. "However, the way the direction the investigation is heading there definitely will be criminal charges filed against the appropriate individuals."
Chris is said to be just focusing now on his new album Fortune and "will lay low until the album drops on July 3."
