(Cover) - EN Movies - Chris Hemsworth thinks having an actress wife makes his film career easier.

The Australian actor is currently wowing cinema audiences as the titular character in the Marvel Studios film Thor. Chris stars as the powerful warrior alongside Natalie Portman and Sir Anthony Hopkins in the movie.

Chris explained his wife Elsa Pataky, who is also an actress, appreciates the time that goes into shooting pictures.

"In a lot of ways, yes there's a mutual understanding of it. You say you're going to disappear for four months and shoot a movie, they get it," he explained in an interview with Wonderland magazine.

The 27-year-old star explained a certain amount of dedication is needed to keep a relationship going in the film industry. Chris, who married Elsa at the end of last year, joked that five months away from your partner is difficult for any person, never mind a "god" such as himself.

"But you've got to make a commitment to travel to each other's set or where they are. After all four or five months apart all the time is a recipe for disaster. Even for a god," he joked. (C) Cover Media
