Elsa Pataky is "thrilled" to be expecting her first child with husband Chris Hemsworth.
The couple announced Elsa's pregnancy earlier this month. The stunning star is overwhelmed by impending motherhood.
"I'm at a great point in my life. I always say that, because I'm a very positive person, but what is happening to me at the moment is the best thing that can happen to a woman," she gushed.
"[I'm] thrilled. Very happy. They always say that fathers don't feel the same until the child is born, but as a woman, as soon as you're pregnant, you feel like a mother. They're feelings that men can't have. It's wonderful to feel someone alive inside you that you're responsible for."
Elsa is expecting her bundle of joy in the spring.
The 35-year-old star is so excited for Chris to become a father.
"He's the person I feel closest to and we understand each other very well," she told Hello! magazine. "And then I see him as a great dad it's important to know if the person you're with will be good at parenthood."
Elsa and Chris tied the knot last year.
