(Cover) - EN Showbiz - Christina Aguilera and her ex-husband Jordan Bratman put on a united front over the weekend.

The former couple came together to take their three-year-old son Max trick or treating and got into the Halloween spirit.

Although the singer and her former spouse kept things casual in normal clothes, their little boy wore a mediaeval soldier costume.

The group were seen walking around their neighbourhood in Los Angeles and appeared to be comfortable with each other despite the split.

Christina, 30, and Jordan, 34, ended their marriage in October 2010 but the Beautiful star has vowed to co-parent Max in a civil way.

"I definitely love the fact that Jordan and I are strong parents separated, and we both have such a strong role and a positive one in our son's life," she told Us Weekly this summer.

"We both share a special bond with Max. And that's a beautiful thing when he has both parents so involved in his life."

Christina has been dating budding musician Matthew Rutler for a year. (C) Cover Media
