(Cover) - EN Showbiz - Daniel Radcliffe says people are wrong to think hes a cool guy.

The 21-year-old actor shot to fame playing the title character in the Harry Potter movie franchise, adapted from the best-selling childrens books by J.K. Rowling about a school of wizardry.

Daniel admits people often assume just because hes a star of the big screen, hes going to be hip in the same way movie actors such as Johnny Depp and Brad Pitt are.

The British star has warned fans will be disappointed if they expect him to be trendy, as hes more interested in ancient history than going out partying.

People think when youre famous youre going to be cool. Im not... Im fascinated by archaeology, he told the British edition of OK! magazine.

Daniel revealed some of his other favourite pastimes, which include normal activities such as sport and watching television. The star admits he does sometimes get star-struck fans coming up to him when hes out in public, but he finds the attention a compliment.

I love watching the Discovery channel. I love going to the cricket, or the pub... You get some attention, but its normally pretty flattering, he explained. (C) Cover Media
