(Cover) - EN Showbiz - David Arquette has opened up about his split from Courteney Cox.
The actor, who is appearing on this season of Dancing With The Stars, says that he "didn't want to live" after they broke up.
In an interview with Ellen DeGeneres, the 40-year-old shares how dark life got for him when his 11-year marriage came to an end last October.
"We had grown apart for quite a while and I was just really heartbroken over it," he told the talk show host.
"I used it as an excuse to accelerate my drinking. You know, to be honest, I didn't want to live anymore.
"I didn't know how to deal with those feelings. And part of getting sober, it's really difficult at the beginning. You are confronted with all of these new emotions You know, you're not good enough."
David told Ellen that he is doing much better now after a stint in rehab earlier this year and is enjoying rehearsals for the dancing show.
Other stars competing on the program include Chaz Bono, who underwent gender reassignment surgery to become a man last year.
The Hills star Kristin Cavallari, talk show host Ricki Lake, singer/actress Chynna Philips and George Clooney's ex-girlfriend Elisabetta Canalis will also be competing. (C) Cover Media
