Debbie Harry confesses fashion mishaps

(Cover) - EN Star Style - Debbie Harry says experimenting with style is fun.

The 65-year-old singer is best known for being the front woman of iconic rock group Blondie.

The star, who first achieved success in the 70s with hits such as The Tide Is High and Heart of Glass, is famed for her peroxide blonde hair and quirky dress sense, and says that her personal style was an outlet for her creativity.

I dont think I really wore make-up as a kid, but I started bleaching my hair when I was about 13, 14. I tried a lot of different colours. One time I had a permanent wave that was a big no-no. Make-up has been just a great big experiment over time, trying different products and colours its fun, she said in an interview with Stylist.

Debbie believes part of experimenting is not always getting things right. The star admitted that her fashion and beauty choices have been hit and miss.

Sometimes I do it right and sometimes I do it wrong. Some people get set in their ways, Ive always liked experimentation and sometimes my experiments go really wrong sometimes they go really right! she joked.

Debbie is widely regarded as a fashion icon. However, she argues that the term is used too loosely.

Time moves so quickly now, things move so quickly that you can become an icon overnight. Ive always felt that an icon was something that was, sort of like ancient history, like an idol, a Russian thing, or a Buddha, she explained. (C) Cover Media
